How to Join

CUBS membership is an exclusive benefit available to individuals who meet one of the following eligibility requirements:

Any student or affiliate of the University of California, Berkeley
Any member of the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce
Any person eligible to join the Cooperative Center Federal Credit Union
Any person related by blood or law to an existing CUBS member

Membership for Life
The Credit Union for Berkeley Students, Faculty and Staff operates on a “once a member, always a member” basis.

How to Join
1. For individual membership, please apply using the online application provided by our parent branch, CCFCU.

2. If you require further assistance or wish to talk to a CUBS representative directly about your new account and services, please visit our campus branch office or contact us.

3. The online application is not available for student groups. If you are representing a student group, please come into our campus branch office to apply for membership. Please bring the following items with you:

Completed signature card (Will be given to you when you visit our office)
Two forms of photo identification for each signatory (1 must be government issued; Cal ID preferred for second form)
Social Security Number, or Tax ID Number, for each signatory
Signed letter from Office of Student Life listing the member you want on the account as signatories
$5 membership fee (may be waived during promotional periods)
Minimum deposit
- $25 for share account (required for membership)
- $15/$100 for optional checking account
