Protect yourself from overdraft or having that important check bouncing because of insufficient funds. CUBS offers two levels of overdraft protection:
Overdraft Protection
The basic overdraft connects your checking account with your savings account.
Features
- Checking account will draw from available funds in savings account
- Only $1 per overdraft transaction!
- Overdraft fee charged only when protection service is used
- Overdraft transaction counts as a transfer/withdrawal from savings
Overdraft Privilege
Additional protection that supplements basic overdraft protection.
Features
- Enabled after exhausting overdraft transfers from savings account
- Borrow from a $500 line of credit
- Allows members to temporarily take checking account balance below $0
- $25 overdraft privilege charge assessed per transaction that takes final balance below $0
